Pakedge was launched over 10 years ago with the understanding that audio video would become bandwidth intensive. In fact, the brand's products were developed to meet A/V needs: their characteristics make them more suitable for managing music and video streams than routers and terminals designed for data. In addition to the attention paid to the technical quality of the products, Pakedge relies on software innovation to prove its performance. Pakedge products talk to each other seamlessly: all connected to the Pakedge Connect+ platform, they can be found without difficulty to offer a smooth network experience. Add to this the brand's BakPak Cloud Management System, a cloud that allows you to remotely maintain all your installations.
Routers for multimedia streams
To accommodate Pakedge's media focus, its routers have a few assets. In addition to having turbocharged processors, Pakedge routers are configured to divide streams into six zones of different priority levels (voice, management, A/V, automation, data, guest), giving priority to the most important ones like streaming and VoIP. This does not affect multicast thanks to another special feature, Zone Bonding. Combine these routers with WiFi hotspots for a smooth and scalable installation.
Multimedia switches as well
Like the routers, the switches, PoE, are optimised for multimedia on the same principle of pre-configured VLANs to divide traffic into six activities. They feature SoC technology and allow you, for managed users, to simply configure your VLANs with Zone Wizard or to use common templates in the A/V integration (Zone Template).
