Why do we have a privileged partnership with ABB on KNX?

However, did you know that in addition to being a distributor, we are also a partner of the brand?

Our partnership, your success

The reason for this partnership was obvious to us: From our side, the development of a KNX offer was inevitable since the protocol is particularly suitable for smart homes, especially in lightning and HVAC installations.

ABB's products combine technical excellence with a variety of advanced features. We were therefore convinced of the brand's potential through 3 ranges: KNX, Welcome and Free@home.

- On the KNX side, one range is specifically designed for the hotel industry, while another consists of communication gateways for other types of protocols, with their data/commands, including the interpretation of analogue data. Among many other options. We then chose what was most suitable for high-end home automation installations.

- Welcome manages the reception: door phones adapted to the use preferred by your customers. The street ones are modular, while various interior interfaces and a mobile application generate interaction even from a distance.

- Free@home, ABB's user-friendly and intuitive software, takes care of all the electronics to easily configure the connected home.

Moreover, ABB's price/performance ratio is very good, even in the high-end segment we have selected, and the products are readily available. But we also have our strengths.

Their products, our skills

Where we differ from traditional distributors is in our support. Indeed, our technical team has been specifically trained by ABB to ensure the technical support of the brand, on all KNX and Welcome products. In addition, the Prestige support team is multidisciplinary: home automation, electricity, heating ... useful cross-skills when the origin of a failure is not necessarily easy to determine.

Of course, the easiest way to avoid these difficulties is to evaluate the needs and parameters to be taken into account in your project from the start. This is a pitfall that can sometimes discourage some people from using KNX on their sites: bad wiring, changing project of the customer, etc. If necessary, our technical sales staff will also assist you in developing your site requirements (to meet the specifications or to extend an existing installation). The advantage is that they are familiar with the ABB range to determine whether you need a switch, a combiswitch, or other to manage your lights and shutters for example.

Selling the KNX project to a customer, the concern for a comprehensive approach

It is difficult to make the end customer understand the interest of KNX in his project without showing him the luxury experience that is offered. This is why, beyond the wiring and the invisible modules in the installation, it is necessary to be able to put forward a complete luxury offer. The user interface is indeed the icing on the cake that could trigger the sale of a project to people not initiated to the home automation universe.

With these issues in mind, we have extended our electrical offer with elegant switches or user interfaces from several brands. KNX-compatible, they reflect the qualitative and customised character of your installation, and will appeal to interior designers in particular.
